Martina Ebert, Associate Director-Residential Division of OKAY.com, was interviewed and featured in the September issue of PEAK Magazine, commenting on sought-after locations for top management, budgets and market demand.
Companies generally offer housing allowance to expatriate employees in Hong Kong, and with sufficient subsidies, many top managers prefer living on the Peak. For middle-managers, whose allowances were reduced industry wide a few years ago, Martina recommends Mid-Levels as a great location for individuals and couples.
“If they don’t have kids, Mid-Levels is still quite popular. If they have kids, depending on which schools they go to, larger properties on the Southside are the likely choices.”
Martina added that the demand for buying is often less for expat employees, while rental demand normally increases right before the new school year starts every September.
